While very small these chinch bugs reproduce by the hundreds in very short time period and are particularly detrimental to St Augustine grass. Commonly found in very hot and dry locations such as the edges of sidewalks and driveways these pest can start anywhere. While chinch bugs typically don’t like Bermuda and Zoysia Grass it’s not impossible to find them there, but more often than not they prefer St Augustine grass over all others.
